I was born and raised in the northwest, and now reside in Bellevue, Washington. I earned a degree in basic design and have worked with many different art mediums. Art has been my passion since childhood.
My lampshade business took off in the late 1990’s when I enrolled in a collage class and discovered layering papers could create a solid structure to create designs on and thought that it would be a perfect structure for lampshades.
After devoting almost a year of experimenting with layering papers over lampshade frames, similar to paper Machê, I was able to develop my technique and create custom lampshades with an array of motifs to fit any style in any given room.
